About Ride901

Memphis’ youth cycling organization.

Ride901 removes the barriers that keep Memphis children from riding bikes by providing equipment, instruction, safe places to ride, family-centered programs, and pathways from a child's first ride to lifelong cycling.

Our story

Why this exists.

Memphis has incredible parks, incredible people, and incredible potential. But too many children grow up without access to bicycles, safe places to ride, or programs that welcome them. Ride901 exists to change that. We are building more than rides and races. We are building confidence. We are building friendships. We are building healthier communities. We are building the next generation of cyclists. One neighborhood. One family. One child at a time.

Core belief

The bicycle is the tool. Confidence, belonging, health, resilience, and community are the products.

The standard beneath the brand

Professional. Safe. Organized. Consistent.

Access with excellence is respect.

Mission

Ride901 develops healthier kids, stronger families, and more connected communities through accessible cycling programs across Memphis.

Vision

To make Memphis the most accessible youth cycling community in America.

Promise

Every child deserves the opportunity to experience the freedom that comes with two wheels.

Ride — access

Every child gets the opportunity.

Learn — development

Every child grows.

Belong — community

Every child has a place.

Position

Racing is a program. The pathway is the point.

Ride901 serves children ages 2–14 across the Memphis area, with programs spanning learn-to-ride, community rides, skills clinics, family riding, school and neighborhood partnerships, and youth racing.

What Ride901 is not
  • Not a track operator. Ride901 does not own or run a BMX track or any other facility.
  • Not an elite development team. Strong riders may emerge, but the mission is the kid who rides again next weekend.
  • Not a single-venue organization. The neighborhoods are the mission field.
  • Not a BMX-only program. BMX racing is one part of a much wider pathway.

Where we operate

Memphis-wide, by design.

Ride901 is a Memphis-based youth cycling organization serving children and families across the city. Shelby Farms is intended to be an important program location, alongside neighborhood, school, church, community-center, and partner sites.

Shelby Farms BMX

Ride901 and Shelby Farms BMX are separate organizations. Ride901 does not own, operate, or govern the BMX track, and the track does not own, operate, or govern Ride901. Any future use of the facility will be governed by a written agreement like any other event organizer. Ride901 supports the growth of safe, accessible cycling facilities throughout Memphis while remaining an independent, citywide youth cycling organization.

Build this with us.

Ride901 is at the beginning. The people who show up now are the ones who decide what it becomes.
