Two Saturdays a season can change a kid’s year.
Most Ride901 volunteer roles need no cycling experience at all — just a willingness to show up, be kind to a nervous seven-year-old, and carry a cone or two.
Where we need people.
Course setup and teardown
Cones, tape, signage, and the heavy lifting at both ends of the day.

The first face a family sees. Friendly matters more than fast.
Bike fleet setup and safety checks
Getting the loaner fleet out, checked, and back in one piece.
Helmet fitting
Making sure every helmet actually fits the head it is on.
Beginner coaching support
Walking alongside a child learning to balance. No cycling background needed.
First-aid support
For volunteers with a current first-aid or medical qualification.
Photography and storytelling
Capturing the day, within our photo-consent rules.
Community partner support
Helping a host organization run their side of a ride day.
Sponsor hospitality
Looking after the people funding the free stuff.
General event crew
Wherever the gap is on the day.
Recurring volunteers and adults in child-facing roles must complete required background checks and follow the two-adult rule and our youth-safety policies. One-time event volunteers work in public, visible, supervised roles and do not have unsupervised access to children.
